I’ve been following the case of Lilly and Jack Sullivan, and something that keeps gnawing at me is the terrain around their home. I grew up in a similar rural area, and I remember how easy it was to get turned around in the woods, especially as a child. The area they live in—surrounded by thick brush, steep banks, and difficult terrain—sounds like it could easily disorient young kids if they wandered off. I’m curious about the extent of the search around bodies of water or any other natural hazards in the vicinity. Has anyone heard if there were specific areas within that 5 km search radius that were considered more dangerous or harder to access? It just seems odd that two kids could vanish so completely without a trace, and I can't shake the thought that the landscape itself might have played a bigger role than initially thought.
