Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Guifeng Tong, and one aspect that really stands out to me is her love for mushroom picking. It’s a peaceful hobby that many people enjoy, but it can also be risky, especially in places like Burnaby Mountain with its dense forests and sometimes tricky terrain. I can’t help but wonder if she might have ventured somewhere off the beaten path that day. Does anyone know if the search teams were able to explore all the lesser-known trails and potential mushroom hotspots in the area? There are so many hidden spots in the mountains that aren't on the regular hiking maps. Even though so much time has passed, I feel like revisiting those areas could potentially uncover something new. She seemed to be quite familiar with the area, but could she have come across something unusual or even potentially dangerous? If anyone has local insight into some of these off-the-grid areas or possible personal experiences where hikers have gone missing or encountered difficulties, it would be great to hear your thoughts! It’s hard to imagine how someone could simply vanish in an area she's known so well, but maybe there’s a piece of the puzzle we’re missing. Stay safe out there, and let’s keep the discussion going in hopes of helping her family find some answers. Thanks!
