I came across Marthe Turcotte’s case while researching unsolved disappearances, and there’s one aspect that’s been nagging at me. During that era in Montreal, the metro stations, especially a busy one like Jean-Talon, had a lot of foot traffic. I wonder if any of the stores or local businesses around that area might have had employees from back then who could remember anything unusual from that day. Sometimes people remember odd events or conversations once they’re prompted, especially if they recall someone acting suspiciously or being out of place. Has anyone looked into old archives from local newspapers or reached out to long-standing businesses for insights? It’s a long shot, I know, but sometimes the smallest detail can trigger a breakthrough.
