Does anyone else find it odd that there hasn’t been more detailed disclosure from the authorities about the search efforts for George Turnbull? Considering it’s rural Manitoba, I understand there’s a lot of ground to cover, but it feels like there might have been more they could have done initially, or at least more they could share now that it's been over two decades.
Could it be that the open landscape and his dementia led search efforts to be overly focused close to home? I’m just curious if there might have been any attempts to follow up on sightings or leads in more distant areas. Maybe there were some places around town he used to frequent or mentioned during his conversations that could provide a clue. It's unsettling to think somebody could just vanish without a trace, and keeps me wondering if there’re aspects of community or environmental factors we haven't considered. What do others think about the likelihood of additional clues existing that just weren’t pursued at the time?
