I came across an article about Frank Uncapher’s disappearance and couldn’t help but wonder if anyone else finds the terrain around Lac Seul as puzzling as I do. I’ve done some reading on the area, and it seems like the perfect spot for someone to get disoriented, especially with how vast and rugged it is. The weather back in October 1974 was reported to be typical for fall, but still, I doubt any amount of preparation could fully equip someone for unexpected turns in such challenging surroundings. Does anyone have insights into the geographical lay of the land there during that time? I understand it’s a popular spot now for boating and fishing, but in its more isolated state back then, I imagine the search teams had quite a task on their hands, especially with no GPS technology like today. Could the natural features of the lake have played a role in masking where Frank might have ended up?
