I’ve been reading about the Francois Willey case, and something that really caught my attention was the possibility of amnesia he might have suffered after disappearing in 1989. I've always been intrigued by how memory loss can totally alter someone's life trajectory. With Francois being involved in such an emotionally distressing event like his sister's accident, it's not entirely out of the question that he found himself disoriented, possibly adopting a new identity, or living unaware of his past. Does anyone else think it's plausible that he might have started over somewhere else, unknowingly? Perhaps he’s been living in a nearby town or city, never realizing there’s a family waiting for answers. I wonder if in those initial missing person efforts, they’ve checked hospitals or shelters around Quebec for anyone matching his description. It just seems like there’s a chance he could still be alive, unaware of his own story. What do you all think?
