I’ve been following the case of Belinda Gurtrude Williams for a while now, and there's something that's been bugging me about the different accounts of where she was last seen. Mission and Vancouver aren't exactly next door to each other. How could such a discrepancy exist and go unresolved for so long? It makes me wonder how thorough the initial interviews were with family and witnesses back then—or if the interviews even happened. Also, given the timeline differences her family recalls, it adds a whole layer of complexity. As sad as it is, this feels like another instance where the system let someone slip away without notice. It’s heartbreaking to think how things could have been different if her case had been taken seriously right away. And on top of everything, it had to take decades for her family to get the authorities to listen and launch an official investigation. Does anyone have insights on how these timelines could be pieced together better, or is it just too late with the gap being so long?
