Curtis Andrew Jasper Wilson was 23 when he went missing after traveling from Lethbridge to the Okanagan region. He was last seen on the morning of June 27, 2015, having breakfast in Vernon with a friend and his traveling companion, 32-year-old Shane Letkeman. Wilson had been driving a black Chrysler 200 rental; his family did not know he was in Vernon because he had told them he was going to Grande Prairie.

The rental car was found abandoned in the Cosens Bay area of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park in Coldstream. Letkeman’s body was recovered from Kalamalka Lake on June 28, 2015; authorities initially said his death was not suspicious, and a coroner later concluded Letkeman died by suicide as part of a planned pact between the two men, citing messages on a cell phone that referenced suicide. Investigators searched the lake and shoreline by ground, air and sonar, and believe Curtis was in the water, but his remains have never been found.

Curtis’s family, especially his sister Shanna, has publicly questioned the pact theory and noted the difficulty of reaching that conclusion without locating Curtis. The family has returned to the Okanagan repeatedly in hopes of finding answers.

If anyone was in the Cosens Bay or Kalamalka Lake area around June 27–28, 2015, or has information about Curtis’s movements that week, please share what is known.
