Rohan Noel Malcolm, 52, was shot and killed in his Coral Springs, Florida, home on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Malcolm, a Black man and a former IT specialist for the Jamaica Observer newspaper, was found dead on the bedroom floor of the couple’s residence in the 10500 block of Northwest 43rd Street after a domestic dispute.
The evening’s confrontation began after returning from shopping; Malcolm announced plans to go to Port St. Lucie with friends, which his wife, Denise Nicole Malcolm, 45, believed was a lie. During a heated argument that lasted nearly an hour, Denise retrieved a handgun from her bedroom closet, loaded it, and shot him multiple times. One of the couple’s 14-year-old twin sons called 911 at about 6:30 p.m., reporting his father wounded. Officers arriving on scene heard another gunshot inside the home before taking Denise into custody. A firearm was recovered and Rohan Malcolm was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
What details about the late evening or the family’s interactions might help someone who knew the Malcolm family come forward with information?
