Stanley E. Jennings Jr. was fatally shot on June 26, 2024, in Pompano Beach, Florida. The shooting occurred about 7:15 p.m. near the 2600 block of Northwest Sixth Street, off Northwest 27th Avenue. First responders found Jennings with a gunshot wound and he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office detained the alleged shooter at the scene for questioning, but the shooter’s identity has not been released. Investigators do not believe any other individuals were involved. Homicide detectives will present the case to the Broward County State Attorney’s Office for review. No further details about what led to the shooting have been released.
