Hey everyone, I came across Calvin Brasby's case, and I can’t stop thinking about his family and friends. I grew up in a neighborhood not too far from Lincoln Estates, and it’s so troubling to see how violence has escalated in these areas over the years. Something that's been lingering on my mind is how these incidents impact the local community. Calvin was just 20, and it’s heartbreaking to think about the potential futures being lost to senseless violence. People are right to call for increased community engagement and effective policing strategies. These moments of tragedy can be a wake-up call for residents and local leaders to come together and push for change. I hope we can all lend our voices to encourage more supportive environments in our communities. We need spaces where young people have access to mentors and resources that can guide them away from paths that lead to violence.
