Winshay Roddey, 25, was one of three women killed at a home in Bradford County on March 12, 2024. Her mother, Quinqune Cat Robinson, 49, and sister, Denesha Sims, 27, were also fatally shot in the incident. Authorities allege the victims’ father and Robinson’s longtime partner, Johnnie Bernard Brown, committed the killings; Brown has been charged with three counts of second-degree murder.
According to the arrest report, Brown said he and Robinson were arguing and that Roddey and Sims intervened before he grabbed a gun and began shooting. Investigators found Sims holding a knife in a defensive posture behind a chair and another knife at Robinson’s feet. An 11-year-old granddaughter who witnessed the violence called 911, suffered minor shrapnel injuries and was released from the hospital the same day; she told deputies grandpa was hurting grandma and her two aunts and that grandpa said they should have stayed out of it.
A public viewing and funeral services were held in Starke on March 22 and 23, 2024. Does anyone in Bradford County have information about the events that led up to that night?
