Jaylin Stephon Conorquie was 20 when he was fatally shot after gunfire erupted along a second-floor hallway at the 2500 Inverrary Club Apartments in Lauderhill on the afternoon of February 13, 2024. Family described him as an aspiring rap artist, one of nine siblings, a gifted student who loved music and praise dancing. Responding officers found Conorquie a short distance from the complex, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds; he was taken to Broward Health Medical Center and pronounced dead. Initial reports said two others were injured; a surviving victim, Rayvone Stone, was shot in the leg twice.
Investigators later focused on brothers Charles Williams and George Shakele Delay Williams after surveillance showed Conorquie and Stone running through the hallway as shots were fired and someone pursuing them. Charles was tried separately; a first trial ended in mistrial and a retrial produced a June 5, 2026 conviction for second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. Sentencing had not been announced. George Williams remained separately charged and awaiting his own trial, so allegations against him were unresolved.
Does anyone have information about Jaylin’s movements at the Inverrary complex that afternoon?
