Kevin Berry, 58, of Davenport, Florida, was fatally shot in a road rage incident on October 15, 2023, near the intersection of Interstate 4 and Highway 27. Berry, who was driving from Altamonte Springs on his way to work, was outside his truck and unarmed when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him. Security cameras captured the altercation and the vehicles involved.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd identified the suspect as 58-year-old Daniele Hamilton, who has a lengthy arrest history including felony and misdemeanor charges for drug offenses, fighting, and robbery. Deputies arrested Hamilton at home after recovering a gun and three empty casings; Hamilton has been charged with second-degree murder and authorities are awaiting ballistics results. Investigators are also asking for witnesses from three other cars that were in the area.
