Hi everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Rhasaan Marquese Johnson and came across a detail I thought was particularly chilling: the location of the retaliatory shooting of Kendrick J. Akins. It happened near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Sessoms Avenue, a place that holds a lot of significance in the community. It’s almost as if this act of violence was a twisted statement. It’s so saddening to see lives cut short—especially in our youth—and in places meant to honor peace and progress. I just can’t stop thinking about the families of both young men. They must be going through unimaginably difficult times right now. Hoping the community can come together to shed light on what happened. If anyone knows anything, please consider reaching out to the authorities. It might offer some solace and justice to the victims' families. Take care, everyone.
