It's hard to wrap my head around the violence that led to the tragic loss of Leonardo's life. From what I've been reading, it seems like a lot of people in the Lake Worth Beach area are really shaken up by this. I can't imagine how his family must be feeling—sending them all my thoughts during this unbelievably difficult time. It's especially disturbing that Nozistene was someone local and not a random outsider. Knowing he was caught at a nearby motel with clear evidence isn't comforting enough when the violence literally happened right outside someone's home. Makes you question how well we know the people around us. Kudos to the detectives for following through so quickly with the investigation. But what measures are going to be put in place to ensure this doesn’t happen again? It's unfair for a community to live in anxiety. Let's hope the increased vigilance Mayor Resch talked about becomes more than just words and leads to some real change for the neighborhood.
