I’ve been closely following the tragic events surrounding Brittany Carter's death, and one detail that really stood out to me was how her family chose to initially protect her identity under Marsy's Law. It’s completely understandable why they would make that decision in such a devastating time. I can’t even begin to imagine what they must have been going through. But then, deciding to rescind that protection to honor her memory publicly shows such strength and a desire to create something positive out of this nightmare. Their choice to set up the 'Brittany Carter Fund' to support her children is such a powerful testament to who Brittany was and what really mattered to her.
