A passerby on the 12000 block of Rocky Mount Road in Luthersville found a body on the side of the road on the night of September 25, 2024. First responders arrived about 10:50 p.m. and discovered 14-year-old Jordan Alvin Simon of Newnan had been shot to death. The Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office classified the death as a homicide and asked the public for information to reconstruct Jordan’s last hours, specifically between about 5 p.m. and the time his body was found.
Jordan’s family remembered him as kind and affectionate, with a love of rap music. His mother, Lisa Simon, last saw him outside their Coweta County home the night he was killed. Investigators later arrested three people: on October 4, 2024, 23-year-old Thaddeus Stokes of Senoia was charged with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; on November 6, 2024, 18-year-old Jamarion Mondrez Ford and 20-year-old Maurice Jamarcus Malone, both of Newnan, were arrested and charged with murder. All three are being held at the Meriwether County Jail without bond. No motive has been released.
Does anyone who knew Jordan or who was in the Luthersville or Newnan area that evening have information that could help investigators?
