On the late afternoon of August 28, a shooting at a home on Montrose Way in Troup County, Georgia, left 16-year-old Kyren Rainn Johnson dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency crews transported Kyren to a nearby hospital, where he died despite life-saving efforts. Kyren was a student at LaGrange High School; his death affected the school and the surrounding community.
The Troup County Sheriff’s Office opened a homicide investigation. In the weeks after the shooting investigators identified and arrested three people: 19-year-old Ankeivious Kewon Moore of LaGrange and 18-year-old Jamicheal Williams of Warm Springs were charged with murder, and 18-year-old Nadilee Jade Martin was arrested on charges of making false statements and tampering with evidence. All three were booked into the Troup County Jail.
What information about Kyren, the neighborhood, or the events that afternoon could help investigators fill in the gaps?
