In the early morning hours of April 10, 2024, 42-year-old Nathaniel Leshawn Fuller was found unresponsive inside a blue Chevrolet Blazer in the backyard of a residence on the 2000 block of Winston Drive in Macon, Georgia. Deputies arrived after a call about 5:29 a.m.; Fuller had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner.

Investigators tied the shooting to a road rage confrontation that began on Eisenhower Parkway. Jordan Lavoris Dean, 20, was arrested and initially charged with murder and tampering with evidence; his defense said Fuller pursued and rammed their vehicle and then brandished a pistol, leaving Dean to act in self-defense. During trial, Jordan’s 22-year-old brother, Jacorey L. Dean, testified that he was the person who fired the fatal shots and claimed self-defense. Jacorey was arrested in court and charged with murder and aggravated assault.

The jury acquitted Jordan Dean of murder and aggravated assault but convicted him of misdemeanor tampering with evidence for hiding the vehicle and sentenced him to one year. The jury also convicted him of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; the trial judge initially overruled that count, and an appeals court later reinstated the firearm conviction and returned it for sentencing.

Does anyone have information about the events on Eisenhower Parkway or the moments after the shooting that could help clarify what happened?
