Lucille Ann McManus, 63, was found dead at her Wake Forest Drive home in Warner Robins, Georgia on November 24, 2023. Her husband, 57-year-old Brian McManus, initially told police he had returned from a walk to find her dead by suicide, but officers found Lucille on her bed with a significant head injury and no weapon nearby; investigators soon treated the death as a homicide.

Investigators say the relationship was troubled. The couple had met on Tinder and married three months later. Authorities allege Brian was having an affair in Florida and that the marriage had been used to obtain a Green Card. On the morning she died, Brian allegedly struck her with a rubber mallet, strangled her, then washed, walked the dog while security footage recorded him, and discarded the mallet and his phone in a drainage ditch before calling 911 and claiming he had found her.
