Fifteen-year-old Ozias Gore was killed in a drive-by shooting at his home in Macon, Georgia on the afternoon of April 8, 2023. According to reports, he was in the kitchen getting a glass of water when a vehicle drove by and multiple shots were fired into the residence; a single bullet struck him in the back. Firefighters performed CPR and he was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The residence had reportedly been targeted by gunfire on at least six prior occasions in the months before the fatal attack.

Investigators identified 17-year-old Raheem Seree Smith as a suspect after reportedly finding discussions about the shooting and the weapons used in an Instagram chat. Smith was arrested and charged with Gore’s murder on May 31, 2023, and held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Authorities continued to examine whether the earlier drive-by incidents at the Gore home were connected.

Ozias, known as OG, was described by family as passionate about sports and saving money and was looking forward to turning 16 and getting his first job. If anyone knew Ozias, his family, or saw activity near the home around April 8, 2023, please come forward with information.
