A fatal shooting after a dispute in Warner Robins ended the life of 41-year-old Michael Cooper on the evening of January 16, 2023. Surveillance footage shows Cooper arguing with Shadarrius Dyone Hogan Jr. at a gas station; Cooper is seen holding a handgun at his side. Hogan left, gathered two other men, Vincent Maurice Winston and Chancellor Stephen Williams, and the three pursued Cooper in a car chase through the city.
At the intersection of North Davis Drive and Ignico Drive the pursuers opened fire, striking Cooper multiple times. Cooper attempted to drive himself to a hospital but crashed his Nissan Altima into a utility pole near the 7-Star Food Mart; the vehicle caught fire. A passerby took Cooper to Houston Medical Center, where he later died. Investigators say Cooper did not fire his weapon during the incident.
Hogan and Winston were arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault; a third person, Tionne L. Beasley, was arrested on murder and hindering apprehension charges, and Chancellor Stephen Williams was later implicated and arrested. What else can anyone add about Cooper’s movements that evening or witnesses at the 7-Star Food Mart scene?
