A large outdoor party in Brockton, Massachusetts, ended in gunfire just before 2 a.m. on July 5, 2023. The gathering near Tremont and Essex streets, attended by more than 100 people, included alcohol and the setting off of numerous fireworks when multiple shots were fired, striking at least six vehicles and scattering ballistic and firework debris at the scene.
Thirty-one-year-old Thomas Andrade Jr. was among three people shot; he and two women were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Andrade was pronounced dead at 2:42 a.m.; the two women sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Brockton Police, aided by Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, launched an active investigation, conducting interviews and reviewing surveillance footage. Authorities said the shooting did not appear random, and as of the initial reports no arrests or suspects had been publicly identified.
If anyone was at that party or has surveillance from Tremont or Essex streets that night, can you share what you saw or recorded?
