Jadyn Ray Sleet, 20, of Georgetown, was killed by a gunshot on the night of October 24, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the Canter Pointe Apartments on Tates Creek Road near Armstrong Mill Road. A second person was wounded and taken to a hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening. The Fayette County Coroner identified Jadyn at the scene.

Lexington police opened a homicide investigation and say no suspects were immediately identified. Detectives are examining forensic evidence and witness statements and have asked the public for help, including anonymous tips to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers. Separately, federal court records describe a violent, ongoing feud between a West End group known as the Hot Boyz and an East End group linked to members of the Sleet family; those documents suggest the feud could provide context and identify possible suspects but do not report any arrests in this case.

Did anyone in the Lexington area see or hear anything near Canter Pointe Apartments on the night of October 24 that could help investigators?
