Roger Lee Noland Jr., a 35-year-old carpenter from Scottsville, was fatally shot on February 10, 2023, in the 1000 block of North Race Street in Glasgow, Kentucky. He had traveled to Glasgow with his fiancée so her children could see their father, James E. Campbell. A verbal altercation between Noland and Campbell escalated, and Campbell allegedly fired a handgun, striking Noland. Noland was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Glasgow police arrested James E. Campbell and charged him with murder and two counts of wanton endangerment related to Noland’s fiancée and her son being in the vehicle during the shooting. A trial date has been set and the case is moving through the court system. Noland was a father of five and remembered by family as a loving parent.
