Trayonna Carol Ann Williams, 19, was shot and killed on the evening of Saturday, September 14, 2024, while riding in a vehicle in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Two other occupants in the vehicle were also struck by gunfire; investigators say two separate shootings occurred in the area that day. Williams was three months pregnant at the time of her death, and family and community members held memorials, including a release of pink balloons.
In the days after the shooting authorities arrested multiple suspects. Tavon Fontineau and a juvenile were booked on one count of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. A third person, 25-year-old Malik Omar Charles of Ville Platte, was later arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder; his bond was set at over $3 million.
Who in Ville Platte might have seen or heard something that evening and can help piece together what happened?
