On March 31, 2024, at about 3:08 AM on Pisciotta Street in Alexandria, Louisiana, 49-year-old Jessie Tatum III was found with a fatal gunshot wound after police responded to reports of gunfire. Family members described Tatum as kind-hearted and selfless.
Investigators identified two brothers, Shaheem White and Jarvis Dontay White, as primary suspects. Both have prior legal troubles dating back to their move from Gastonia, North Carolina, including accusations of attempted murder and weapons-related offenses. On April 12, 2024, 21-year-old Shaheem White was arrested in North Carolina on an Alexandria warrant charging him with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and illegal use of a weapon; he was awaiting extradition. On April 16, 29-year-old Jarvis Dontay White voluntarily surrendered and was booked on second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm, with bond set at $1,100,000.
Does anyone have information about Tatum’s movements that night or about activity on Pisciotta Street around 3:00 AM?
