Anthony Bell, 21, was found dead from a gunshot wound at an apartment complex on Enterprise Road in Alexandria in the early evening of February 27, 2024. Officers secured the scene and opened an investigation into what has been described as a homicide. The same complex had previously seen violent incidents, including a fatal shooting in 2021.

On February 28, 2024, a 36-year-old man from Shreveport, Stanley Goldsby Jr., was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with Bell’s death. Law enforcement says the investigation remains ongoing.
