A family argument at a Walker, Louisiana mobile home park on the evening of January 17, 2024, ended in a double homicide. Kenneth Ary, 58, who lived at Pleasant Oaks Mobile Home Park, and his 21-year-old daughter Helen Ary, who was visiting from Texas, were fatally shot during a dispute with another daughter, 22-year-old Kennetra Ary, who lived with Kenneth.

Deputies from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office say Kennetra allegedly retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots, and both victims died at the scene. Kennetra was taken into custody that same day and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center; she faces two counts of first-degree murder. Investigators have indicated no one else was involved in the altercation.
