In the early hours of Wednesday, June 7, 2023, gunfire on West Verdine Street in Sulphur, Louisiana, left 25-year-old Gerard Wilson Jr. dead in the front yard of a residence. Police found Wilson with multiple gunshot wounds after receiving numerous 911 calls shortly after midnight. Two other men were wounded in the same incident: Andre Cornelius of Houston was found inside the house and taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, and Nicholas Brown was dropped off at a nearby hospital’s entrance with multiple gunshot wounds; authorities believe Brown was involved in the same shooting.

Sulphur Police arrested Connor Guillot on June 9, 2023, charging him with second-degree murder in connection with Wilson’s death; investigators said further arrests were possible as the probe continued and an additional arrest was later reported. What can readers add about Wilson, his movements that night, or anyone who might have information surrounding this shooting?
