A Sunday afternoon in Darrow, Louisiana, ended in tragedy when 15-year-old Treylon Brown was fatally shot along Highway 22 on March 12, 2023. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office says Treylon died at the scene; his 16-year-old brother was critically wounded and taken to a nearby hospital, with his condition later reported as improving.
Investigators say the shooting grew out of an argument between juveniles. Treylon was remembered by his former football coach as humble, happy, mannerable and respectable, and by peers as a chess player with a strategic mind. St. Amant High School issued a statement mourning his death.
Several arrests followed: a 16-year-old male turned himself in and was booked on first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and related weapons and damage charges; two other teenagers — 18-year-old Aaron Landry and a 17-year-old — were later arrested on principal to first-degree murder, principal to attempted first-degree murder and related counts. The investigation is ongoing. Does anyone have information about Treylon, his brother, or the events on Highway 22 that day?
