I came across the Robert E. Yee case from 2009 recently, and something that's striking is the apparent motive behind the murder. It's just chilling to think that someone might be targeted for simply doing their job and potentially knowing too much. The fact that his murder was linked to illegal activities at the marina really makes me wonder about the depth of those operations.
What really stands out is the connection made through DNA evidence. It's incredible how advancements in technology can bring justice, even years later. I'm grateful that Robert Yee's family got some answers with the conviction in 2016. It must have been such a long and painful journey for them, waiting for that closure. My thoughts are with them and all the people who loved him. How does everyone else feel about the power and role of DNA evidence in solving these cold cases?
