Nick Davi was a 46-year-old husband, father, and pastor at Grace Point Church in North Las Vegas. He and his wife Sarah had two children, a 15-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. The family had been involved in an escalating dispute with their next-door neighbor, Joe Junio, after reporting her to their homeowner’s association over chickens and dogs; they say the hostility grew worse, including threats, objects thrown into their yard, attempts to flood their home, and a cutting motion across a throat while saying the family was next.
On the afternoon of December 29, 2023, the family returned to their gated community condominium to collect belongings. A confrontation with Junio began in the driveway while one child recorded on a cell phone. Junio allegedly exited her vehicle and opened fire, striking Nick in the abdomen and also wounding Sarah in front of their children. Both were taken to University Medical Center; Nick died of his injuries and Sarah survived.
North Las Vegas police arrested Joe Junio at the scene and charged her with open murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, battery, and child abuse. A grand jury later indicted Junio and she has pleaded not guilty; Sarah Davi has filed a wrongful death suit. Does anyone have information about the confrontation that afternoon or the weeks of harassment that preceded it?
