Teagan Rowdy Morgan, a 15-year-old boy from Gallup, New Mexico, was shot and found unconscious inside a vehicle at Ford Canyon Veterans Memorial Park on February 17, 2023. He was taken to a local hospital and died of his injuries.

Investigators say the shooting happened during a transaction: Morgan had been selling electronic vapor devices that contained THC. The encounter reportedly began with an attempted robbery using counterfeit cash and escalated when the vape products were taken. An 18-year-old, Valentino Gutierrez of Mentmore, New Mexico, was arrested on March 2, 2023, and charged with murder, conspiracy, armed robbery, and two counts of tampering with evidence; authorities said additional charges against others were possible.

Morgan was born October 13, 2007. A graveside service was held March 4, 2023, at Pinehaven Community Cemetery in Pinehaven, New Mexico. Does anyone have information about Morgan’s activities or who else might have been involved that could help investigators?
