On August 14, 2024, 25-year-old Megan Elizabeth Keleman was shot and killed in the Taco Bell drive-thru on Graham Road in Stow, Ohio, at about 7:20 p.m. According to witnesses, a 53-year-old driver, Jason Williams of Cuyahoga Falls, rear-ended Keleman’s vehicle, got out, approached her car and shot her in the neck; both Keleman and Williams were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported the two did not know each other.
Williams had a criminal history that included charges for operating a vehicle under the influence and for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle; he had been released on bond in May 2024 with a condition prohibiting possession of firearms. Keleman had earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and financial management services from Cleveland State University in 2022 and an MBA in May 2024, and had recently begun working at Shelter Care, Inc., a residential treatment program for children with emotional or behavioral challenges. Her family established a scholarship in her name and the community held a candlelight vigil on August 18, 2024, at Stow City Hall.
Does anyone have information about what happened at the drive-thru that evening or knew Megan?
