Robert Lee Armstrong, 44, of Goshen, Ohio, was found shot dead in his home on July 22, 2024. The death has been treated as a homicide and described as gun violence that shook the local community.

Police identified and arrested 25-year-old Dakota Hensley of Goshen; Hensley was charged with murder. Reports say the shooting arose from a dispute between Armstrong and Hensley, and investigators recovered the firearm used in the incident.

Armstrong’s family and friends have been left grieving. His mother, Liz Armstrong, has spoken about her loss and started a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses.
