Brandon Chase Gunstanson, 26, of Middletown, Ohio, was shot and killed on April 16, 2024, after a road‑rage confrontation. Police were called around 11:50 p.m. to reports of two vehicles fighting near Manchester Avenue and Verity Parkway; officers found Gunstanson inside his pickup truck crashed into a pole on South Clinton Street with a gunshot wound to the neck and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the sequence began with an altercation at a local bar where Gunstanson allegedly used racial slurs and indicated he was armed. After leaving, he reportedly followed another vehicle and rammed it multiple times while claiming to have a gun. The occupant of that second vehicle fired shots, killing Gunstanson. Authorities identified and located both the driver and the shooter from the second vehicle; a Butler County grand jury reviewed the evidence and declined to indict.

Gunstanson, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, worked as a mechanic and enjoyed flipping trucks. He is survived by his significant other Jordan Langhorst and their sons Cooper and Bodey. Did anyone in the area see the confrontation that night or know more about what happened at the bar earlier?
