On December 12, 2007, seven-year-old Joey Bochicchio and her mother, Nancy Bochicchio, were found dead in their SUV in the Town Center Mall parking lot in Boca Raton, Florida. Both victims had been bound with plastic ties and shot at close range after finishing some Christmas shopping. Surveillance captured them leaving the mall but produced no clear leads about their attackers.

The killings echoed an earlier abduction at the same mall a few months before, when another mother and son were forced to withdraw money from an ATM and then released unharmed; investigators noted the similarities and explored a possible connection. Despite questioning several suspects and extensive work by the Boca Raton Police Department and the FBI, no arrests have been made. Authorities offered a $400,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and continue to keep the case open with regular public reminders.

If anyone remembers seeing Nancy and Joey at the Town Center Mall that day or has information about the case, please contact the Boca Raton police or the FBI.
