He reportedly left behind his phone and all personal belongings, and his social media activity stopped that day. Those details, plus a complete lack of contact with family, prompted concern and a missing person report to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Smith is described as about 5 feet 10 inches tall, around 200 pounds, and has a noticeable limp from a medical condition. The investigation was opened after he failed to return or communicate; law enforcement has asked the public for help and the community has shared information to generate leads.
