Michele Lee Elliott, 57, was found dead in her Union Township home in Miami County, Ohio, on March 27, 2023, from an apparent gunshot wound. The death came to light after 58-year-old Brian E. Mason went to the Miamisburg Police Department and said he had accidentally shot Elliott while demonstrating a firearm she had requested; Mason told police the gun discharged and struck her in the chest, then said he covered her with a blanket and left the scene.
