Charlotte Louesa Lopez, 39, was found dead in a travel trailer in Clallam Bay, Washington, on the night of June 28, 2023. Deputies arrived at about 10:35 p.m. and discovered Lopez had sustained a gunshot wound; that cause of death was later confirmed.

Investigators focused on a suspect who had been on the property; the next day, June 29, 2023, 55-year-old Cipriano Ojeda-Ibarra was arrested and booked into the Clallam County Jail. He was identified as Lopez’s stepfather, and an initial charge of second-degree murder-domestic violence was filed. Authorities reported the weapon used was a stolen .357 revolver and the Major Incident Response Team assisted in the investigation and witness interviews.
