Robert Campbell, a 30-year-old African-American man, was found shot to death at his rented home at 4701 83rd Avenue North in Pinellas Park on May 29, 2006. He had multiple gunshot wounds and the front door showed clear signs of forced entry, consistent with a violent intrusion. Investigators considered robbery and a personal vendetta as possible motives.

The Pinellas Park Police Department conducted forensic work and interviewed neighbors and acquaintances, but those efforts produced no solid leads. The killing alarmed the community, prompting meetings and appeals from law enforcement for residents to report suspicious activity. No arrests have been announced and the investigation has grown cold.

If anyone has information about that night, that house, or Robert’s contacts in the days before May 29, please share what you know with the Pinellas Park Police Department.
