Devin Anthony Meniefield, 23, was found dead inside a residence in the 17400 block of Maple Leaf Court in Hagerstown, Maryland, after a shooting on the afternoon of March 18, 2024. Officers arriving at about 1:25 PM discovered him with apparent gunshot wounds; he died at the scene.

Authorities located a suspect roughly 30 minutes later in the 1000 block of Noland Drive. The suspect is identified as 16-year-old Kamari Kenyon Meniefield. He was taken into custody without incident and, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, will be charged as an adult with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment and multiple weapons offenses. He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
