Airmus Dillard, 41, was shot on the evening of March 5, 2024, on the 300 block of Cedarleaf Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Prince George’s County officers responded to a shooting at about 6:25 p.m.; Dillard was taken to a local hospital and died several hours later from his injuries.

Detectives say the shooting arose from an ongoing dispute with an acquaintance and was not random. Investigators identified 23-year-old Zarkee Bembo-Wilson, also of Capitol Heights, as the suspect in the fatal shooting. No further details about the dispute or motive have been released.
