Donald Virgil, 51, was found strangled to death inside his Pinellas Park mobile home on October 7, 1985. A fire had been set at the residence, apparently to conceal the crime. Virgil lived alone, did not drive, and was known to frequent bars near Haines Road in the local area.
The homicide remains unsolved and detectives continue to seek information that could identify whoever killed him. Any detail about Virgil’s movements that week, the bars he visited, or people he may have been with could be important. If anyone has information that could help bring closure in this case, contact local law enforcement.
