On the evening of July 5, 2024, 36-year-old Jeremy White was shot and killed in the 500 block of Page Street in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Officers arrived around 9:15 p.m. and found White with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The killing was one of two homicides in Clarksdale over the July 4th holiday weekend, though investigators say the cases do not appear to be related.

No arrests have been announced and no motive has been established. White’s mother, Jacqueline Houston, appealed for justice at a Clarksdale City Board meeting in October 2024. The Clarksdale Police Department, aided by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, is continuing to investigate, and authorities have asked anyone with information to come forward.

If anyone knew Jeremy, was in the area of Page Street that night, or has information that could help, please contact the Clarksdale Police Department.
