Charles Vincent Anderson, 59, was shot and killed at a residence in Laurel, Mississippi, on July 2, 2024. Known to family as Butch, he was born February 20, 1965, and enjoyed simple pleasures such as fishing; he is remembered for his warm presence and attentiveness to loved ones.

Anderson was taken to a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound but died of his injuries. The Jones County Sheriff’s Department investigated the overnight shooting. A man from Laurel, identified as Duane Clark, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case.
