Greenville recorded its first homicide of 2024 on the night of January 13, when gunfire in the 400 block of North Edison left two men struck. Officers responding around 11:30 p.m. found 38-year-old Marcus Jones of Greenville with fatal injuries; another man was wounded and airlifted for medical treatment. Authorities said the shooting arose from an altercation.
The Greenville Police Department investigated for weeks before identifying a suspect. Adrian Jamal Pam, 33 and also from Greenville, was located in Evansville, Indiana and was apprehended there. In March 2024 investigators traveled to Indiana to extradite Pam back to Mississippi; he faces a charge of murder in connection with Marcus Jones’s death.
If anyone saw activity on North Edison that night or has information about the altercation, please share what you know with investigators.
