Cristian Manuel Ramos Gonzalez was 22 when he was killed by gunfire at his home on Reese Street in Verona, Mississippi, on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Born February 22, 2001, in Denver, Colorado, he had moved from Vardaman to Verona and worked as a mechanic at Carlock Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram of Tupelo.

Verona police say Cristian was not the intended target. Investigators concluded suspects had aimed at a specific person but fired into the wrong residence, killing an innocent man. A multi-agency investigation that reached into North Mississippi, Tennessee, and Iowa identified two suspects.

Christopher Williams and Jessica Harris were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and two counts of shooting into a dwelling. The chief of police said evidence recovered in the probe linked the two to the crime; Williams was held without bond and Harris had bond set at $1 million.

Did anyone in Verona know Cristian or have information about the night of July 8, 2023?
